Joey Chestnut wins pierogi-eating contest at halftime of Celtics-Cavs

Joey Chestnut calls himself the "world's greatest eater" for good reason.

He's a 16-time Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest champion and has been ranked No. 1 by Major League Eating, an organization that oversees professional competitive eating events around the world, since 2022.

On Tuesday, he flexed his muscles in a pierogi-eating contest during halftime of the Boston Celtics-Cleveland Cavaliers game.

Chestnut downed 39 in two minutes, defeating the combined score (22) of three other contestants.

Chestnut participated in a similar pierogi-eating contest when the Los Angeles Lakers visited the Cavaliers in December 2022. He ate 47 of the filled dumplings, again exceeding the combined score of the three other contestants.

The American competitive eater won the World Pierogi Eating Championship in 2014 when he downed 165 in eight minutes.
