Australian wing Alex Ducas is planning to sign with the Brisbane Bullets, sources told ESPN, in a one-year deal set to be finalised at the conclusion of NBA Summer League.
Ducas is coming off an NBA Championship with the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he spent the 2024-25 season as a two-way player. He became the ninth Australian-born player to win an NBA title.
Ducas played 21 games for the Thunder over the course of the regular season.
Prior to his time in the NBA, Ducas -- a product of Basketball Australia's Centre of Excellence -- spent five seasons at Saint Mary's, averaging 9.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game as a senior, while shooting a career-high 43.8% from 3PT, on 5.4 attempts a contest.
The 6'7 wing out of Geraldton, Western Australia is currently with the Thunder for the 2025 NBA Summer League; the defending champions have one vacant two-way spot.
Summer League runs from July 11-21 (AEST) in Las Vegas.
Ducas was a priority signing for new head coach Stu Lash, with the 24-year-old providing elite wing shooting for the Bullets -- he shot 40.6% from 3PT over his five seasons at Saint Mary's -- and has also demonstrated reliable off-the-dribble scoring.
With the signing, Ducas will join Mitch Norton, Casey Prather, Tyrell Harrison, Sam McDaniel, Jacob Holt, and Taine Murray on the Bullets' main roster for the 2025-26 NBL season. The Bullets have two import spots remaining, and are in the market for a pair of guards, sources said.
The Bullets open their 2025-26 regular season on September 19, in a road game against the New Zealand Breakers.
